STS oil pump?
I think my oil pump is going bad so I am looking for a replacement. Has anyone tried this one?
3GPM Gear Pump 12 or 24 Volt
The compact GP-301 series gear pumps are designed to transfer lube oil, diesel fuel and water. Utilizing straight cut bronze gears and stainless steel shafts, the GP-301 transfers liquids up to 3 GPM. Used mainly for oil change and diesel fuel transfer, pre-luber, oil scavenging and similar applications. This pump will generate high pressures, but should be limited to 30-40 psi or damage to the motor will occur.
Draw: 12V - 10A, 24V-5A
Size: 5.5"x 4"x3"W
Weight: 3 lb 6 oz
3/8" NPT male brass fittings on both sides.

It got extremely noisy today. It happened a couple of times today when I pulled up to a stop light. It was on the low setting and it got so loud I could here it over my stereo. I bought the kit used so the pump has about 45k miles on it.

Do you have a link for that pump?
It looks like it may be the one STS uses and puts their name on. How much is it?
Sorry I don't know the specs for the STS pump but that pump looks like it will work.
These pumps are noisy on high. I have mine on high all the time because of the cold temps. I am not sure that indicates a problem. Maybe your STS PCV Hoobs switch is seeing enough boost (1 psi I think will do it) to put the pump on high speed and you can hear it.
