You can replace one bullet, but you are risking it happening again. I chose to just build a nice forged motor and make it less likely. If you are looking for a good motor builder, let me know I will PM you his number.

This is a very good point, but I don't have a lot of time to spare in this situation, not to mention the cost. I know I can find someone to help me with a build in my area, but I would like to know where to find the best parts.

Can someone list out some solid parts that I'm gunna need, plus anything else I should look into?

before you jump off the deep end, do some good ole trouble shooting and run a compression test.

ya that will be the first thing I'm going to when i get home, but i just wanted to do some homework to see what I could be in for.

worst case, you busted a piston and there is piston material going through the motor....best case, you busted a piston and you can replace the piston and get on with your life.

outstanding case, you might not have a problem at all....it might have some other issue. the way I see it you are in the same boat as me, you have the same symptoms. I would go right for piston #7 and check the compression.

I have the same problem also and thanks to the members a compression test is getting done this weekend. I have to watch this thread to see where it leads us.

Get a check valve PCV now, before your truck catches fire from all the oil getting blown out.
