supercharger pulley 2.8" measured where?

supercharger pulley 2.8" measured where?
alright so im making a new pulley for my R tvs1900. I just want to know when magnacharger says 2.8" pulley is it measured across the crown of the V's or the root, or halfway. the stock roush pulley is 3.3xx at the top and 3.07 at the root. any help is appreciated.

that would make most sense to me as that is more the path the belt is taking because thats the reinforced area. also didnt think the stock roush pulley was that small.
