Tell me why... Gear question
Why are my 4.56s not going to be good for another turbo setup. I'm not looking for because people on the Internet say so answers but actual good info.
If I go back to boost it will be a rear mount with circle d tb stall, 4.56 gears with a 28" slick

I believe it is because you blow threw the powerband tooo quickly and it does not build boost like a lower gear does... For example, 1st gear max would be 5psi, 2nd gear 7psi, 3rd 10psi... I believe it does that because a Turbo build boost based on the load put on the engine... Those are just made up numbers but you kinda get the point. I maybe completely wrong....

If I do switch I won't run anything less than 3.73.
I know the more load you put on the engine the more boost you can build, but with these heavy trucks there has to be a balance/compromise. Alot of guys I see with taller gears are cutting crappy 60's unless they have a loose converter where they can build boost on the line. But then it seems they are disappointed in their et's possibly because of blowing through the converter once they reach high boost?
So my thinking is(and I'm sure I'm wrong) keep my 4.56s and 3000 stall, keep my 60's the same and just letting the turbo do whatever work it wants to do. Or is the problem not going to get a chance to work?

Absolutely. I do plan to do some index racing next year but building boost on the line isn't necessarily important for that. I just don't want to go through the trouble of building it if it's not going to make atleast 10# of boost by say 4000-4500 in 2nd gear
