grippy i have the software here, if you have the file (.dyn) I can help ya. Hell, if you don't mind sharing your hard work, I'd like to see it anyway, ESPECIALLY your built 6.0/radix.

here's a 5.3, GT2-3, Radix, Stock Heads, 8lbs of boost:

subtract 5% error for the program, and then your corresponding driveline loss

Thanks!
Am I reading thiss correct. 725hp - 5% - DT loss 30% = 482hp? I'd be happy with that.

Oops! I see I missed the RPMs down there, Damn! More like 432@6000! Still not too shabby, add in a few mods and ......

So I just spoke to Jeff at LPE and he recommended the GT2-3. He also told me that the GT7 was designed more for a turbo, with the smaller lift and longer exhause duration designed to increase exhaust velocity. I asked him about my current cam and how it was designed for a s/c and why his was better, and he told me that it was two different approaches and that the GT2-3 was designed to have better street manners and more usable power, and to give better torque down low, where a big truck needs it. He also said that LPE would never take the same approach as Vinci did with the Trucker (216/224-551/551-115) cam, anyone know why?

The GT2-3 is nearly identical to the custom grind Cam Motion I had in the 5.3. It pulled well also.

That was a great cam, I agree, I had the same grind in my 3-ton Avalanche. Pulled all the way until the driveshaft broke. But that cam had 8 degrees less exhaust duration than the GT2-3, which is the point of contention to some of the people I have spoken with. My 205/212 cam had -16 degrees of overlap which is perfect for a blower; no more of a split is really needed unless your exhaust is very restrictive (or so I've been told).

I'm going to talk to John at Futral as well and see what he would recommend for a custom grind....sounds like I'm leaving some power on the table with the cam I'm running right now.
