Thanks to trick performance and stock48
So here is a little about my truck.
03 rcsb
6.0 lq4 junkyard
4l60e home built
Combo was
243 heads milled 35 with a single springs
Comp 238 244 605 611 on a 112
Headers, 4.11 gears, cold air, etc.
I raced this truck Friday and Saturday night ...my wife drove it to work Monday. At 4pm I picked it up from her job, and started doing work. I swapped back to the 317 heads, double springs, ls7 lifters, comp 7.35 pushrods, ls2 timing chain, Melling oil pump, and stock 48 sent me a isky cam he picked for me. Ls9 head gaskets, arp studs, 72lb injectors from injector connection and then started installing the trick stage 3 kit.
Everything went pretty easy, it's hot rodding do I had to modify a few little things but nothing major. I fired it up this morning, went straight to the dyno, and within 3 pulls I was making 16lbs of boost on pump gas. No blown couplers, no boost leaks, no issues at all. The dyno shop was very impressed with the lack of first day issues.
Stock48 has me headed in the right direction, and with a few small changes I feel confident this combo is gonna be light years ahead of my nitrous combo. And it's soooo much fun to drive. Thanks to those guys for the reliable setup and consultation.
Power was 540hp but I wasn't shooting for numbers, timing was 11 degrees, still has 4000+ converter and 4.10 gears and pulls were very back to back. Intercooler really didn't have a chance to do its job, but that's exactly what I wanted for the first tune. Something that is conservative enough and will handle a beating without worrying about it. I'm confident with lower intake air temps, smaller converter and a cooler engine we will see well over 600, especially with a tick more timing and tuning. Then maybe more with meth!!!
