I am just thinking about it now, depending on how much it is going to cost will determine whether or not I end up doing it. Besides my GF will be gone all summer (she is a teacher) so I am going to need a project to work on.. If I can get a base kit put together for ~ $2-3K then I will probably end up doing it. I can always expand on it later on... I am still researching and pricing parts...

Anyways, when and if I do it, sure we can go for a drive!!!

On an automatic vehicle I think a BOV is a personal preference. I have been racing turbo Buicks for 20 years and I have never had a BOV and never had a turbo failure(and running 30 psi of boost!) but a BOV certainly wont hurt anything either.

Is the BOV the piece that makes the discharge noise? Sorry I am really new to this stuff... If so, do they make quiet ones? I am not really into the whole 'Fast and Furious' sounds..... I was looking a a Type S Gready one, and I was wondering if I could put some kinda small lawn mower muffler on it... Sorry if that sounds stupid, but I like my truck quiet...

It will make a noise whether you run a BOV or not it will just be a different noise with and without. Mine is not that loud without one and it pushes a lot of boost back when I slam the throttle closed. The only time it is very noticeable is coming out of the burnout box and I like the way it sounds. Some BOV's are louder than others. Some are even marketed as the "loud" version for the Civic guys.
