Wink Trick Performance Hot Pipes

Ok so I received my Stainless Steel TrickPerformance hot pipes. I'm out of town so I only seen pictures of the ones. So the painted toe nails in the pics are not mine.

I know I'm gonna wrap them with DEI titanium wrap.
But I'm debating on painting them and then wrapping them. What do y'all think?

Would I be fine just wrapping them?

I got my kit from Trick too, and also wrapped them with DEI Titanium wrap. The company says not to wrap them over paint, or to apply the silicone paint to the wrap. I just cleaned up the welds, rewelded a few spots, relocated my wastegate to the log manifold outlet, and sandblasted the manifold along with the OEM manifold. When I wrapped mine, I used stainless lock wire and wire twister to hold the wrap on. I have pics of it some where. Oh yeah I also added a O2 bung in the DP for the wideband.

I got 100' of wrapping. Haven't tried anything yet. I haven't even seen them in person cuz I'm out of town.

There are calculators online to determine how many linear feet you need.

Looks good Brandon. What turbo are you going to run?

DEI recomends you spray the pipes prior to applying the wrap but not the wrap. From the DEI website:

If you are going to wrap any kind of steel pipe we recommend using DEI HT Silicone Coating to spray the header or pipes prior to applying Titanium exhaust wrap. However, there is no need to apply DEI HT Silicone Coating to Titanium wrap.

That sounds like it should be plenty. Are you going to use their SS zip ties? They are pretty cool but a little pricey.

Ya I got some 14" SS zip ties but I bought more SS Hose clamps than ties.

I did buy 4 cans of the HT Silicone spray but I googled and come up with different opinions on painting the pipes. Did you paint your pipes then wrap them Rick?
