Install an MFG 4" exhaust today waiting on the bird to cook. Sound alot better, more rumble, and is surely load when you set into it. Things I am waiting on to go to the dyno again, water meth lines.

Ok well I final got the turbo dyno's. Had to before I started on a different swap. 5.3-8.1L. Not what I was hoping for but ok I guess for a stock truck that started of at 170hp. 196tq. The engine was tired then and I think its really tired now. It started popping in the exhuast on the 2nd pull around 5000 and then by the 4th pull 3800 and by the time I got home hardly any boost and poping in the exhaust, even thought I heard one in the intake.
Once home I can free rev the engine all seems ok no issues. I think the springs went way south.. figure now the engine has over 165000 on the old stockers. LOL Any way here are the graphs, the first dyno pull and the last pull for this old engine.

So with
efans
synthetic oil in the engine, tranny and rear end
New exhaust
One turbo kit
one mail order tune
We gained
212. hp
257. tq
and one worn out engine. LOL

Not bad for off the shelf parts, and lots of fun doing it.

Rick

You know I do not remember ever changing them.. I will be pulling the plugs tonight to see they are stockers, or even broke. The wires look well again not sure. But I will check.

yea 9psi with a 62mm turbo. I was hoping to start turning the boost up, but I do not think that is possible now.

Thanks I was thinking more, and might have been seeing how a problem arose, and got worse buring the dynoing.
