Tuning for STS
OK, I am about to undertake my first attempt at tuning my own truck, I will be tuning in my sts kit, I have a friend who tuned his turbo sentra himself (going from NA to turbo), I was wondering if anyone here has tuned their own STS and if they could offer any advice? I will be using HP Tuners and a good wideband

No replies? Maybe your question is too general or should be in the tuning section.
I am in the same boat as you and all I can say is go slow, read everything you can find and keep a close eye on that wideband. It sounds like you are headed in the right direction. Maybe keep your boost and timing down a bit till you build up your confidence in your tuning skills. I am lucky in that I have a Westers tune and mostly just need to concentrate on WOT tuning and maybe try to refine the tune a little. For the most part I think my tune is pretty good and I have been getting by on it for a year. My tune is a little lean up top at 10 psi and without meth I get 7* to 8* of KR but with meth none. I just got an Innovate LM-1 but it is not installed yet.
So good luck and have fun.

I did my own tuning as well, starting with HPT and then moving to EFI Live for the 2 bar setup.
Set your timing low to begin with (10-11* if non-IC) and get your fuel tuned properly first, then work on the timing. Do an open loop, speed density tune first, then make it closed loop. Make sure you have a strong enough fuel system before you start. Oh, and WATCH your tranny temps
