on our build we had to weld a bead around the top outside edge of the throttle body to keep the chrage pipe on. around 10psi or so it was blow off no matter how tight we got it.

yeah, i figured. i am either going to run an ls1 tb or cut off the snout of the new tb i get with the intake and weld that on to the old one.

ive been reading the whole thread and now im thinking about going turbo on my S10. its a 96 4.3 auto. pretty much the same truck parish is building. i want to wait a little while and see how well the setup works. plus save up some money lol. Im actually a new guy on here and wanted to step into the light a little.

looked like you are still running a MAF on this truck. are you gonna have to use a signal clamp on it or...??? will it keep up with your 300rwhp goal?

not sure. i figured it would handle 300rwhp but maybe it wont. if not there are ways around that. i always thought parallel paths one with the maf and one without would be an easy fix for stuff like this.

i was thinking without.... and i am a little biased too, i personally have never been a fan of a blow thru maf set up. but its your world and im sure it will turn out just fine. good luck

that year sonoma you could do 2bar sd with hptuners...... if you wanted to.

we will probably do that IF the maf maxes out. i would be suprized if the maf maxed at only 300rwhp.

Im probably one of the few that still uses a MAF. Mine still works for over 500whp.
