Jimbo, im not sure if the 03 S10 has the same calibration as a 02 S10.. but the 02 uses the same as the Silverado with the capability to use COS3 or COS5 for 2 Bar OLSD.
Once Evil Z gets his S10 goin, we might do that on his.
What are you goin to be using to tune it with?

got all the welding done. it really looks nice under there but it is hard to tell anything from the pics. a lift would be nice. http://neufamily.org/images/03GMCgallery/index.htm
i have a few things left to do but most of them are at least started. oil lines, return pump, meth kit, wideband.
cant wait to get the oil lines done so i can see how it sounds. with the exhaust all the way out the back i think it will be pretty quiet. wg has its own little muffler so it should even be quiet at wot.

There is a lot of power NA you can make with that engine for sure...can't imagine what it would do with a turbo.
I recently tuned a 2003 RCSB 4.3L S-10 for a Veteran and I put on an air intake, exhaust, and removed the air deflector from the throttle body blade and tuned it with HP Tuners. According to HP Tuners with the hp conversion equation from torque, the truck was making 260hp and 330 ft lbs of torque...more than the L31 5.7L. So you can definitely wake it up with simple stuff. Figured with a 20% drivetrain loss that he was around 205-210rwhp range when I was done with it. The engine could have taken more timing but he wanted to run 89 octance instead of 93.
Stock, the 4.3L makes 190hp and 250 ft lbs of torque if I remember right in a crew cab version.

that sounds about right for the rated numbers but this guy got a baseline before i started and the truck pulled 180rwhp on a stingy mustang dyno. seems like it might be a little under rated?
oil lines are about done, i am used to working on cars after my g8. there is soo much room under here for everything. tonight i should be able to fire it up and see how quiet it is. i like quiet and am hoping it has a good sound to it.

Vids of startup and idle and test run or gtfo! hahaha jk man
goodluck... tuning is the biggest thing with the 4.3s they don't handle knock and they will blow up rather than just blow a head gasket most times. lol
