I say you contact stock48 about cam choices. He seems to be THE guy lately with those isky cams.

If you want someone to spec a cam out your gonna need to give a lot more info as well. But like stated above, start with Stock48 as he has a pretty damn good idea on what does and doesnt work to get these heavy pigs moving.

Im running a speed inc TU1 cam and I love it. The specs are 225/225 .581/.581 113 lsa. But since your truck is a good bit heavier I would suggest the TU0 cam, the specs are 216/216 .561/.561 114 lsa. Should perform really well midrange and up top yet not bee too big so your bottom end should be pretty strong too. If the 5.3 is in good working condition I would just put ARP studs, LS9 gaskets, LS7 lifters, LS2 chain, pushrods and a good set of dual springs in it. May want to put 3.73s in it too to load the turbo a little more, but I would imagine the 4.10s would work too. I would also call Chris @ Circle D and ask him about which converter but I would suggest a 2800-3000

Yea they are proven to hold significantly more than the stock gaskets and tty bolts. The stock gaskets and bolts are usually good to 15-17 psi but sometimes dont old that long. LS9 gaskets and either ARP studs or bolts can hold much more.
