Hell any where from from a 72 to a 76 compressor for the boost you wanna run will be ok. That's not your problem. You need a lot bigger exhaust side to move more air

It's most likely a P-trim which is a 64mm turbine. It should spool fast, but it will run out of breath before you get a lot of HP out of it on that big of a motor. Your gonna have to tune it for a lower RPM torque motor. Shift it about 5400 rpm and look more at the torque number then the HP. I've heard a little about turbo 6.2's not liking a lot of timing anyway, so could just be a motor thing. I think Nelson has posted that he's had some 6.2's that just would not take timing...

Need some actual data though to know where your at... Timing, IAT's, hp, torque, a dyno sheet... You get the idea. Your Idea of not enough and my idea of what it should do on that setup might not be the same.

Edit....

Low timing is going to come from too much heat generated by the compressor. Bigger turbine and compressor will make lower EGTs and IATs. To fix those problems, you will have to get used to a slower spool time. If you plan on keeping boost low where it is now (lets be honest with ourselves..) then that turbo is fine. Wanna crank it up...bigger turbo is necessary.

That exducer on the turbine is what you need to pay attention too. That's your final choke point in the turbo. Need one thats about 10mm bigger. That'll still spool quick and make a lot more power and be plenty good for 10-12 psi

I concur
go with a 83-87mm turbine and you will have a monster on your hands.

I've been given the choice to move to a 76mm for a small upcharge. Should I take the oppertunity or go even bigger? Ultimately the goal is 500awhp in a quick spooling reliable package. I'm positive that i'm quite short of that as it stands.

Again the compressor is not your big issue. I think if you upgrade to that 76 you will have minimal gains at the boost your at now. You need to re think the hotside of the turbo.

76mm with a good turbine will get you 500 with room to grow..
