Turbo charge pipe size question!

Yeah somebody at work told me how to use the copper high temp RTV on the flanges and it worked I just put a layer of the RTV on both flanges and let it dry then bolted them together I checked it by putting pressure on them about 15PSI now I have other things leaking!

I ordered a 4" magnaflow diesel exhaust for the truck it was designed for a 2500 hd truck part# 17943 I sure hope it works for the truck and sounds good anybody seen this done? The exhaust calculator says it is good for over 700 hp!

X2!!! Only gasket I have on my whole turbo system is between the head and the manifold and that's only because it's aluminum to steel and expands at such different rates and its the same one as the truck came with, been reused about 10 times . Copper RTV for everything else.

Yeah I am waiting for a bunch of 2.5" stainless mandrel bends for the intercooler piping and 4" exhaust I ordered, just to be a tree hugger I also got a 3" catalytic converter, what sucks is I need a bunch of tig welding done and I don't have a tig welder it's going to cost me a fortune!

Well I fanally got all the work done on the truck yesterday I got all the parts in, as soon as I got everything I started cutting and fitting the mandrel bends for the intercooler I cut them and taped them together with aluminum tape and then took them to get them tig welded, turned out pretty good, then ounce I got the intercooler plummed I started putting the 4" magnaflow turbo diesel exhaust on. I ordered it for a crew cab, surprising enough all the hangers were in the right location I just had a little clearance issues and had to mate the 4" to the turbo 3" downpipe and the reducer was not 3" on the kit it was something like 3.5" so had to take it to the exhaust shop, Pro Fit he is really good at what he does I connected the two sides with a magnaflow high flow cat. it looks really good and is surprisingly low sound, I am very happy with how it turned out!
