Default Turbo guys. 3.42s or 3.23s
I plan on swapping out my gears soon. Trying to decide between 3.42s or 3.23s. I have an 4l80 and 29.0 inch tires.

I was wondering the same thing. I have 4.10's right now and I don't know if that's hurting it a bit.

Fastest turbo 5.3 runs 4:10s... Shouldnt hurt it's all in the setup , I personally run 3:23s on my boosted truck but I run a th400 trans as well.

i wouldn't want any more than 3.42's w/ turbo. load that thing up.

I have 4.10s, i want to drop down to 3.73 or 3.42 just to try them and see if they help like everyone says. Im thinking it will slow me down

i ran 4.56's NA and briefly had them in after turbo install. huge difference when i swapped in the 3.42's.

I have 3.23's on a 4l80e w/ stock stall and 275/55/R20 tires. My tuner said I should swap them to 4.10's

I had 4.10s in my 4.8 turbo and changed to 3.73s i like these alot more might go with 3.42s in the futurw yet

After alot of reading, im thinking it depends on the size of the turbo. Small turbo with 4.10s would work good since it spools fast anyway.
3.42s with Big turbo will load it more and should boost faster??
