Why can't anyone that has any experience chime in to my question instead of everyone saying I should do a cam. I obviously knew people were going to say that and I've done other ls head and cam swaps but people just dont understand I guess. This is a high mile motor that I dont want to crack open. If I did and only popped a cam and valvetrain in shame on me. Timing set, oil pump, rod bolts minimum along with cam and valvetrain would be what I want. I dont need a cam to hit my goals but know I will have to replace valvesprings, so wasnt sure if there might be an exponential growth in hp when switching to roller rockers on boost instead of the handful advertised. But 20hp is worth $200 when I need to take the rockers off for the valvesprings anyway.

Sorry to most for any portrayed hard feelings, there are none.

I think we all have experience here. Thats why we are telling you to do a cam swap.

No, you won't see good gains from the 1.8 rockers. IMO that would be a stupid mod. Spend the $200 on a bigger/better turbo or something else that makes more sense. 1.8 rockers in a stock engine is retarded if you ask me.

1.8 rockers will be pointless in the future when you do the cam. Most cams won't even work with 1.8s. The HP won't be worth the money in the long run. Look around there is a reason no one runs them.

I think you should run the 1.8's if you dont plan on ever changing cam. I just pulled 1.8s for stockers chasing some valve train noise and was a full point richer everywhere, even in closed loop, until the trims relearned. Granted, I run aftermarket heads, cam and intake but this proves to me the extra lift definitely moves more air. For those who care the stockers did not change my vt noise.
