At 75 mph cruise in od I'm sucking ~10 inches of vac in v8 mode and ~3 in v4

Per my logs my turbo starts to whistle at 24% TPS and comes online at 35% TPS cruising on the highway just leaning into it. It's very controllable though.

I wonder how it would change with 3.42s versus my 4.10s.

the turbo would just react with less TPS input basically. There again, theres a lot of factors but basically, You'd reach the same load sooner due to the taller gears and having less mechanical advantage.
