my lilttle brother did this in his 240... let it knock and cracked the ring lands and oil was shooting out of his valve cover.. on the dyno... haha..
now on the built motor he is running out of fuel on 46lb injectors...
90 something lb injectors are in the process of going in. with new pump and rail... that little joker rolls out... now he has a knock light sitting on his column.. pretty handy

but anyways when you break something it, just means its time to upgrade....

Unless you're gonna upgrade to a diesel you still need to watch the knock...

I ran 10lbs on my LQ9 with 42's and a 255lph intank for 20k miles without an issue. I bumped up to 60's and Meth when I switched to turbo's. Knock on wood, been running great for the last 10k miles.

You should for sure. Dadkins on ls1tech has a junkyard LQ9 thats making 825+ to the tires in his gto. When we put the new clutch in the other day the back of the block had marks where the coolant was running down the back when it lifts the heads a little.

I have a company truck so price per gallon isnt much of a concern

I dont ahve much choice, if I didnt need to be able to pull a gooseneck and a fifth wheel trailer Id have a cc z71 vmax and Id probably be in your predicament with a blown motor because Id have a tvs or trick turned up on it till it blew. I dont have any self control

My truck doesnt stink that bad, after I put the corsa turboback it was definitely stronger but I never really smell the exhaust. Gotta love being able to run low 12s, get low 20s mpg, and pull 20K

When were you spraying nitrous on it?

Without the meth you'll want to watch it at anything over 8psi. If you want to run more than 8psi and be able to run it without worrying about running it low on meth I'd go to the green top SVO injectors. They're just enough bigger that you should be able to go to 12psi without being forced to run meth to make up the difference. How big is your turbo? Should spool alot quicker. For the question on knock sensors, other than LS2's I have good faith in the factory knock sensor. LS2's I've had show faulse knock and then not show knock when you can actually hear it.
