Default Turbo not whistling anymore

Ive had my kit on for a while and everything has been good but here recently instead of hearing my turbo whistling its more of a loud air noise, Any suggestions? My boost gauge is still reading 6 lbs, been having problems with blow off not opening fast enough but im in the process of getting a different spring for it. Also have a very slow oil leak on the intake side of turbo but i heard thats normal for low mounts...

The noise maybe coming from the suction side of things, check the air filter making sure its not off, or dirty..and or any holes in the tubing/silicone couplers..
The slight oil try when you turn off the truck just cycle the key back on for a second or two. This will suck that slight remaining oil in the oil line while the truck is pressuring down. The check valve controlled alot of it, but while pressuring down the oil is still moving.
The BOV things to try. Make sure the vaccuum line is short as possible and not kinked or over heated in any spots, and it is connected to a manifold vacuum source.

i dont see any obvious areas where the intake noise could be coming from but ill take a closer look tomorrow... The too long of line to boost/vaccum source is probably the reason because i have the boost gauge, wastegate, and blow off connected to intake....

Pull the filter off and check for shaft play. I had a similar problem happen to me twice, it would still make boost, but the wistle wasn't there. Pulled the exhaust off and found a ton of shaft play radial and axial. It shouldn't be burning any oil if it was properly built.

What brand turbo is it?

Do you have a pyrometer on it? If so how high are the temps getting?

Yes it is a turbonetics unit. We use them on almost all builds, the warranty program they offer is great if someone has any issue with in the first year, Turbonetics covers it.

We also use Precision on larger builds they offer a different program.

well air filter was replaced and im still just getting an air noise instead of whistling... How small can a hole be to drown out the whistling? Because i cant find any at all looking over the couplings.
