Turbo selection

My personal opinion, 01slow is steering you in the right direction. For the front mount, consider the PT76GTS to be a minimum. If you really want 900 to the wheels, you really should consider the 88. That would be a real stretch for the 76 on a big motor.
At some point you have to compromise spool for ultimate power.

I think the irony is, Wilde will never blow his LQ4 and therefore will never have the 408. LOL
Haha...never blowing the LQ4 and running 11.4 with it in a freaking extened cab 4wd...CRAZY!
Lots of info, and calculations to take in considering a turbo setup. The reality to an 800-900hp system is you are gonna drastically change the driveability definition...that's just a personal preference(driveability definition) sure, but just make sure you are gonna be completely happy with the direction you plan to go and arm yourself with as much info as you can. i like the setup cody links too, very attractive.

I talked to Jose today, and he recommended a custom built GT47 with an 80mm wheel. Dual ball bearings, .96 A/R housing. He said it should start to show boost maybe 2800-3000 RPM and should come on like a freight train at 3200-3500. Looks like that's going to be about the closest I can get to my HP goals and low spool speeds. I might have to up the stall speed a little bit so I can build some boost off the line.

To be honest, I'm thoroughly frustrated with the oil consumption and lack of power from this motor. I may just take a break from everything for awhile. I can't keep pouring money into something that's not getting me the results I want.

Wait a minute? It's consuming oil? WTF?!? Did I miss something? I thought it would just smoke, like on a cold morning.
I'd take that **** right back to the engine builder!
Have you done a leakdown and/or compression test on it yet?

Yes it is, to the tune of about 2 quarts per 1000 miles. I was hoping it was the PCV system but I unplugged the lines and it didn't fix it. Next step is to check the valve seals.
It only does it after sitting and idling for a minute or two.
I bought a compression tester but have been to lazy to use it yet.
