I think there's this little issue of running an exhaust...but as far as the actual setup goes, it does appear to be done.

Those little 4.2 liters are kinda stout, huh?

Yeah... those I6's are pretty beefy little engines. I had an T'blazer with the 4.2 as a daily driver the first year they were out and it definitely wansnt the fastest thing on the street, but it had a fair amount of grunt. I'd love to see what that thing will do at the track.

GM came out w/ a twin turbo 4.2L project TB. I still have the magazine somewhere and the engineer stated it was a very detuned 400 HP and I remember reading that he said " We just thought 400 was a nice round number, of course if we need more then there's more to be had" and they reported that he laughed when he said that. I think the block was stock except for some very minor internal components (rod bolts or oiling system I can't remember...). He also said that they just wanted to show how "bulletproof the motor was". I was just waiting for it to come out and then they later announced that the idea was too sophisticated for a Chevrolet and that that technology would be better suited on a higher end vehicle like a GMC (I'm assuming an Envoy...) and then later on they announced that they were coming out w/ the TBSS w/ a 6.0 V8 and we ended up w/ this one...

Got some more details on that thing? What turbo is it running? Seem to spool really fast. Any pics of the setup?

Doesn't surprise me... When the TB came out it was pretty advanced stuff for a mid sized SUV. The biggest thing I remember about that 4.2 was how linear the power was... it had even power thru the entire RPM range. Should've dropped that into the colorados and canyons instead of the I5 IMO... would've put them ahead of the game in the light truck department.

A force-fed 4.2 in a colorado would be a hell of a little sport truck
