Ive got a small muffler i can put on the wastegate exhaust haha.

Oh and spelling got me last night. I couldnt figure out how to spell drastic

Guess i can give it a try and see what happens.
small exhaust will not make the turbo over boost, if anything it will hurt boost in the upper RPM.

also with a WG dumping it will be loud, i tried mine like that for a right and it sounded like a straight up race car. i ended up routing it back into the exhaust.

Thats what i meant.
WG routed into the exhaust causing high boost/boost creep.

I had my STS kit WG dumped and it was highly annoying and stupid loud.

For now im just gonna run my stock 1500 cat back along with the WG routed to the rear with a small muffler or something. quiet and simple.

I was looking at stock dmax stuff when I got to looking for exhaust but when a brand new 4" kit was 325 to my door I stopped looking. No cat, no dpf, no hangers to have to cut off and re-weld. It's a big muffler and not restrictive.

Diesel performance systems inc.

Noticed they have a 12% off sale today.

I have about 6' of 4" pipe left over because I bought a crew cab kit.

Did you ever finish this setup?

I ended up dumping my wastegate on my new hot pipes...

Partial throttle in boost it sounds like a harley is driving right beside me
At WOT everything is loud anyway, especially with the cutout

Playing with the boost controller, I can set the gate open pressure, so if I set it for 10psi, the gate stays completely closed then opens suddenly. So unless you are deep into boost it is pretty quiet.
