Install it! And enjoy it! That 5.3 you have will come alive! [/QUOTE]
Trust me. I'm dying to, but tranny worries. Please see my build plan under Gen'l Discussion. for more info & take my Tranny Poll on T56 Conversion, it's under Drivetrain section. Sorry for shameless plugs, but it's PT related. Back on track to thread.

man this thread is too positive.. let me help
(sarcasm)
A roots is a blower and doesnt have internal compression which means its not efficient
A roots blower is outdated technology
Eaton is lying, there is no way a roots blower can be that efficient
Screw type will always win, suppliers with almost no ability to provide an isentropic efficiency map for them say so! 90% efficient!!
(of course i am kidding)
Anyhow, i will leave everyone with this...
What it comes down to, i love boost and appreciate all the differences.. but at the end of the day, think of an ideal boosting system and here are the characteristics i'd look for.
-Great isentriopic efficiency (low outlet temp)
-Boost is always there when i need it (linear to throttle position)
-No impact or positive impact to fuel economy
-Amazing power numbers with flat torque curve, no unexpected torque changes
-Reliablilty, i dont want to even think about it. Run hard, turned off, and started back up over and over for longer than the life of my vehicle..
-Easy to drive, i want any driver to hop in and not be able to tell if i have a 600 cubic inch engine or a 3.5L boosted engine
This is my list.. yours could be different..
