pulleys on too tight? Sounds like something has a little too much resistance. Is the blower new?

That's strange, I've been pushing 8 psi for 8 months, and hard, and my belt is still mint. Maybe I'm lucky though, my 60e is still in one piece, too! I'd check alignment and look for a bad bearing, then check that the tensioner is working properly.

Are you breaking them after a WOT run?

If so you need to check where your tensioner is positioned when the belt is on.

Something is up / not right. As Tim mentioned, what tensioner do you have? Stock or HD tensioner? And where in its travel range is it?

He is asking you where the tensioner holds the belt. If the tensioner moves two inches with a wrench, when there is no belt on it, from putting no pressure on the wrench to turning it as far as it will go. That is its range. Then put the belt on and see where the tensioner sits. Is it towards the loose side, tight side, or middle?
I agree with 03sierraslt, the tensioner should be the first thing you check, not your driving style. And by the way, it most likely happens when you let off the throttle from WOT, not at WOT.

That has to be an alignment problem. I'm at double your psi on the stock belt (hd tensioner) with no problems. Even if it was slipping, and was aligned properly, seems like it wouldn't jump off/shread the belt.
