Not much downside to the 2300 on a 6.0. I have one on an LS3 with a pretty aggressive blower cam and it still makes boost just over idle. I doesn't make boost as fast as the MP122 in my signature, but I think the cam has something to do with that.
I haven't heard of anyone trying a 2300 on a 5.3L, but I bet it's doable. 'Specially with cam and LT's. That would get the boost down a little. Might make too much power though
. 600rwhp 5.3 would be fun. The 2300 would already be there if you wanted to go apesh!t on the power or upgrade to a 6+L's at a later date.

I've got the 1900 on my TBSS and it runs like a scalded dog on the stock 3.3 pulley. With 10.9:1 compression stock, I don't think you'd need more than the 1900 can provide. For either vehicle, if its a daily driver, then the 1900 will be fine. The 1900 will feed 7psi to either motor all day long without fuss.
Of course, if you upgrade motor with less CR and a few more CI, then 2300 is it. If you mod either vehicle to that point that they become 'not friendly' to drive, then you'd want the 2300.

I've had both of them and would recommend the 1900. It's a bit more responsive and with the right pulley setup will make 12+lbs of boost.
If your going to end with more of a race vehicle I'd agree with BigTex then go for the 2300

This is the right idea - DD gets the 1900, race vehicle gets the 2300.

Not really planning to go more than 8-10psi.Would like to keep the stock rotating asembly.
Also weather plays a factor here.In the winter,we may see as low as -40F for a week or two, to a high as 95F in the summer.I think if I end up with too much motor & boost,will have to do with speed density,I'll have to adjust it a few times of the year because of the weather.I know, 5-8 psi of boost may be borderline to still run the MAF? right?
Considering the TVS1900 so far.But haven't ordered yet.lol...
