you say for it to see boost only. If it is ported into the manifold and can see vaccum also is this bad? I have mine just plugged into the manifold

No, I have mine plugged into a distribution block I have off the manifold.

Turbosmart says to use a pressure only source, and that a vacuum/pressure source will negatively affect the accuracy of the boost controller. Not sure how, but I'm going to take their word for it.

ok probably for your boost controller, I dont have an extra controller just the wastegate and the spring.

There is a debate that vacuum is bad for the wastegate, but tons of people seem to run their wastegate on a pressure/vacuum source just fine. The wastegate doesn't need vacuum to work.

I ran a line from my turbo housing to the wastegate just so it would run the lowest possible boost it could for the time being. my boost gauge and methanol are tied into the intake manifold source.
