Hey John,

I'm put together my shortblock with Wiseco KX444X05 -11cc forged pistons and the included Wiseco rings. I had a pretty tight budget but a lot of the big HP guys run Speed-Pro Hell Fire rings. They run about $150 a set. I didn't try but you might be able to order Wiseco's without the rings.

From ByunSpeeds website:

Speed-Pro Hell Fire rings, manufactured from a specially hardened and tempered ductile iron alloy, are engineered to thrive in extreme racing conditions.

These rings retain tension under the most brutal operating conditions, including engines that rely on megadoses of nitrous oxide. Proven in Pro Street, IHRA Pro-Mod and NHRA Top Fuel & Funny Car racing, Hell Fire rings will not flake, and the SS-50 oil rings keep chambers dry, preventing detonation.

wiseco pistons and their rings will be fine. If you ever get to the point that you are knocking the moly off the rings then you already have bigger probs. Dont put a hellfire ring in a daily driver...look how far people go on stock rings.......theyd go further if there was a larger ring gap

Im running the mahle rings, and had factory gm rings in my old 6.0. The hell fire is the best boost ring but they will wear your cylinders If you drive alot on the street.
