Default Is Stock Radix Pulley size 3.1 for 6.0 Denali XL and 3.3 for 6.0 Escalade?

My neighbor, and the newest member on this site, BlownEscalade, and I are confused by the supposedly stock pulleys on our MagnaChargers. Mine was supposedly installed stock, and has a 3.1 pulley. I have never achieved higher than 5lbs boost, even with my tune from Westers (Lyndon Rocks!).

BlownEscalade has a 3.3 pulley on his new ride. No boost gauge (yet - soon!) so we are not sure.

At any rate, are we both stock for our rides? Or did I luck out and the dealer put in a smaller pulley? Talked with Lyndon today and he told me that the 3.1 was the stock pulley for the 6.0......now i am confused. If I have a smaller than stock pulley, I might as well get my tune ramped up so I can get me some extra boost and blow past my fine neighbor (we gteched tonight and he ran 5.95 to my 6.11 0-60).

Thanks in Advance!

D

There is a towing version of the Radix that has a slightly larger pulley for lower boost, and it's available that way directly from Magnuson I think......

You're not going to get any more boost out of a change in the tune. You can up the boost with a pully change, then update the tune to take advantage of it.

8 pounds and a meth/water kit should take care of your friend and of course tuning.

Apparently it takes two posts for you per question. The answer is still the same. Your blower is set up for an LQ4 which uses the 3.1" pulley and the LQ9 uses the 3.3" pulley. The higher compression engine gets the lower boost pulley.

Zippy is right....both trucks should have the 3.3 on it.

Zippy - you are correct - took two post cuz no one was helping in here and it was driving me crazy. Anyways, toasted the other post to save bandwidth .

So I was ok until that last quote. I take it from Zippy that I have the LQ4 and BlownEscalade (that lucky dog) has the LQ9.

Or do they both have LQ9 (I doubt it) and "both should have 3.3 on it" as BlownChevy says?

Thanks

D
