I bet one of the bigger s300s would be a awesome street turbo for a 5.3.

i really have no experience with anything besides reading this forum about turbo's but it seems BW s400's are popular for their price. since that turbo can make 600hp i dont see why not use it. i have no idea on the difference between the s475 and s468 in lag time or to build full boost but it makes sense to run a slightly smaller turbo that can still meet the hp requirements. being on heavier/larger tires with stock gearing and a 80e id agree with building boost wouldnt be a problem. if i ever went turbo id probably go with something like that if not the the basic magnum that is supplied in KB/trick kits for the price and its ease with making the power without falling off or choking out. ive been in a stage 2 trick setup thats around 420rwhp at 8psi and the turbo seems pretty instantaneous with room to grow. just look at foose04 and how far he took his. it seems like there are quite a few people and vendors that can say it better than i can lol. figured id throw in my 2 cents while i thought about that setup.

ya, im not looking to make records, if i hit a 11.9999999999 id pee alittle. but id like to run no more than about 12psi so i dont have to tear into to much else. the WB turbos seem decent. i could prob swing around $900 if i save alittle.
