He's shifting around 6200 now. I agree that the BW 475 would be a great turbo for his setup

I agree.. the larger turbine makes for a very nice top end.

Like I said buddy, if you are looking for budget, go with either of those two ebay turbos. If you are looking to just run 10-12 psi and want 500-550 rwhp the $260 68mm GT45 would work perfect. It will spool fast and is a proven budget turbo. If you want a little more but want to keep it cheaper, go with the 80mm GT45. Im running that turbo and it is absolutely sick. It is the same turbo Magnum sells for $1200 and works flawlessly. You will likely be damn close to 600rwhp @ 12psi with that turbo. And of course if superior quality is what you are looking for and can shell out the extra money, you cant go wrong with a T4 S475.

Jake vs rudy - YouTube

Kind of a crappy vid but thats me with a 4.8 and a turbonetics 78-75 1.15 ball bearing turbo vs my buddys 5.3 with a bw s475 75ex wheel 1.10. We both nailed it at the same time with no brake boosting and mine pulled ahead almost 2 cars cause of spool time, but you can see he catchs me up top, the bw rips in third but is a vary laggy turbo compared to mine. Granted we are setup the same else wise other then converter.

Jake, do yall both have the same converter, trans, gears, and tires? If not I don't think that's a very accurate comparison

If you got the money go with the T4 S475. The only reason I can see not to is if you will need to modify the hot pipes to make it fit.

5.3 more stall more cam and better heads. Vs jake99 I bet it would spool quicker in darnies truck.
