how much did you get the 80mm GT45 for? jw....
Like I said buddy, if you are looking for budget, go with either of those two ebay turbos. If you are looking to just run 10-12 psi and want 500-550 rwhp the $260 68mm GT45 would work perfect. It will spool fast and is a proven budget turbo. If you want a little more but want to keep it cheaper, go with the 80mm GT45. Im running that turbo and it is absolutely sick. It is the same turbo Magnum sells for $1200 and works flawlessly. You will likely be damn close to 600rwhp @ 12psi with that turbo. And of course if superior quality is what you are looking for and can shell out the extra money, you cant go wrong with a T4 S475.

Same gear/wheel tire, same hot pipes/down pipe, same intercooler, same trans, only difference is he has a circle d 10.5 3200 and I have a ptc 10in 3200, mine is a little looser then his so I know that helps, his is a flat top 243 5.3 with a tu0 cam 216-216. The bw has such huge housings and the shaft is bigger ect.. that hurts spool quite a bit compared to a much smaller unit like mine. Once its wound up I think it would out shine mine though.

We are talking about a 1200 dollar turbo on mine though, but id advise for sure a 1.0ar on a 5.3 or 4.8 and try and get the lighter billet wheel if you can if u go bw. Unless u got a tbrake and 2step then you can spool one pretty ease.

Darnie's stall is supposed to be 3500ish under boost. 5.3 which is a little bigger and more cam and heads then those builds. I would think he would spool a little better. Less boost planned though so I really don't know. Boost is a drug so his plan to go with 5-6 pounds will only last a few months then the itch will hit and he will need a bigger turbo. I think for less than 10lbs go with the $250 eBay turbo.

Theres a hand full of guys out here running the cheap ebay turbos and making so pretty decent power, cheaper parts and cheap labor were they are put together but seem to hold up rather well, key is alot of zinc in the oil, atleast 1200ppm oil if not more to keep the thrust bearing alive.

The one you just posted, the 80mm is what Im running and Im running it at 15psi daily. I plan to go 20+ with it as well. The 68mm gt45 would be great for a budget setup and I wouldn't be scared to go 20psi with it either. It would make 600rwhp no doubt. I payed $539 for mine shipped but that was before I told everyone about how its the same as the Magnum lol. So they jacked the price up a little.
