What's a 3" tailpipe worth over a 2.75"?
So I have 1 3/4" LPP LT's into their 3" Y pipe into my two 3" Magnaflow mufflers (4x14 bullet and 22" big body), then it goes over the axle and out the back in the stock 2.75" pipe.
Riley's Muffler Shop in Houston quoted me around $500 for that section mandrel bent 3" stainless, so I am leaning towards picking up the mandrel pieces on ebay and getting an exhaust shop to weld it together for me. (And yes, I know a 2.5 or 2.75 true dual with an X pipe would be even better, but unless you want to send me a check, not going that route.)
My question is how much horsepower am I missing out on by having the last 4ft of exhaust as 2.75" rather than going 3"? Math tells me the 3" is 19% bigger, so I am leaning that way, but wanted some real world experience or exhaust knowledge.

2.3454hp... Seriously, I don't think you will feel a thing. Definitely WAY better things to spend your money on the adding a 1/4 in diameter to the last section of your tail pipe.
Food for thought. As the exhaust gasses run thought the pipes and mufflers, it dissipates heat and reduces in volume so you are actually needing less pipe to flow the exhaust back there any way
