I would have to vote for the turbo set up. they are fun my little 5.3 is working pretty good with 14 psi of boost. best et so far is a 11.20 @ 123 and best mph is 127. this is on my 2008 chevy truck reg cab 5.3L with turbo cam and our front mount turbo with twin front mount intercoolers.

I'll be the first to call myself a complete moron newb with trucks still, but I would say the 4.8 with a hair dryer will be faster. But we all know if you keep looking on this site, you're gonna want more cubes. If it were me, I'd swap in a 6.0 with a couple go fast goodies maybe for the time being. Then later on, after you're used to the power and the bank accounts replenish, work out the turbo. It'll be easier to fit turbo piping on a 6L than fit a 6L under the turbo piping. Spend the sensible money first, then when you wanna go crazy fast, spend the crazy money.
