ok for one if you look at the truck on streetfire.net he is using a single massive turbo. If anyone knows anything then they know that a single turbo makes more power per pound of boost than a supercharger thats belt driven from the crank. fact! second im using procharger p1c thats their basic street supercharger. so its not some hardcore dragstrip charger or massive turbo. there is also a huge diff in the power they genarate based on abient outside tempatures as well as turbo lag compared to a procharger. lets not compare turbos vs. supercharging on a power per boost level. I gained 126RWHP and only 53RWTRQ due to cam choice. my truck is also street tuned meaning i use it everyday, I chose not to do a track tune as its my daily crusier that also had to do with my choice of cam. however the thread was to show how relyable the stock bottom end is in a 5.3. im also only using 60lbs injectors where as i could go up to probally 75's. I just wanted to say the 5.3 is capable of alot not get into a pissing match.

That's why I gave you Bill's example as well...on a roots blower, even. A supercharger does make less power per pound of boost, but the difference is not 250lb-ft of torque. I just think your tune needs some work. If you are happy with it, then by all means, leave it as is.

Damn you guys are killing this dude. If he is happy with his truck as is then that's cool. Yeah it is a little lower then others but there are many more in the same boat as him I'm sure. Isn't blown chevy putting down relatively low numbers for his boost? Gotta remember these are dyno numbers and they don't always tell the truth. Id think a pd blower would make a lot more tq then the pro also. Def not making 20lbs across the board

And you have no need for bigger injectors unless you went to e85. 60s are way more than enough for 500rwhp. That black truck made almost 700whp on 60s with an 80e, 9.5" rear end, and 35" tires. If you put that stuff in your truck it probably wouldnt make 450 to the tires.

sorry I feel like an ***! I talked to my tunner and I'm running 15lbs.. not 20lbs.. what he said was if i wanted to go to 20 we would have to swap out the P1 to a D1.. my misunderstanding.. all of you were right and I apollagise..I don't like to bullshit anyone and try to keep it real so please accept my apologize.. so as it stands its 565RWHP at 15lbs.. and no matter what it is I think its great to have any kind of boost in our trucks. sorry again guys.
