Default Whipple 2.9 or Lysholm 2.3??

i know you guys are into modding the hell out of the trucks and im looking to do a whipple 2.9 or 2.3 lysholm on my cts-v.

Anyone here have experience with either or?

Currently im doing 15-15.5 psi boost on my tvs1900 on the caddy and its fast as hell but id rather use less boost to make more power.

I would think the whipple is a down grade in either case.

I concur with this. Ported TVS 2300 call them and I am sure they will convince you. The worst performance mod I ever did was a whipple.

If whipple makes the 2.9L for the CTS-V, then I say go with the whipple if you are looking to run high hp levels. Check out the Camaro5 forum where people are seeing great results with the new whipples. Alot of the guys on here don't like whipples because the kits they used to have for our trucks were non intercooled. But the kits they have for the new Camaros seem to be working good will low IAT's.

I have a 2.3 Vortech Twin Screw same as the lysholm and i love it. Im at about 14psi and make more than enough. Last time it was on the dyno was at 5 psi and made right at 500rwhp. just a LS6 cam, forged internals(stock bore), and some head work. Not sure how much the 9psi difference makes hp wise though
