Whipple 2.9 or Lysholm 2.3??

Whipples customer service leaves a lot to be desired. I don't care where something is made if it sucks it sucks. Magnacharger is made in the usa as well. I would bet money on magnacharger making more power. I have yet to see any one test them. Keep the same engine+ tuning and swap intake manifold + charger only and see which one makes more at the same boost level. I am not a betting man either.
Keep in mind I lost power with my whipple and it was not an intercooled version. It was a total waste of thousands of dollars. I sold the whipple and went turbo. It was a lot better.

From what I've read about the kits for the new camaro, the TVS s/c's work better at the lower booste levels. And the whipples seem to take over at higher boost levels. The IAT's seem to be very low as well.
Zeake, I'm not sure how you lost power with a whipple unless the tune or something else was not right. My friend used to have a 2001 GMC Sierra 5.3L with the old side mount whipple kit (non-intercooled). @8lbs, built tranny, 2600 tc, mid-length headers with stock cats, cutout and slicks he ran a 13.0X. This was running the whipple electronics too.

The IATs are takin before entering into the charger iirc.

Whipple corrected the IAT sensor location to inside the manifold, and some of the guys with the original kits relocated the sensor too. The IAT's are still pretty low compared to others. I've heard the same thing about whipple's customer service being bad.
The older radix mp112 kits, and the newer TVS blowers are deffinatley a better kit than the off-manifold whipple kits. No argument about that. But the newer front inlet whipples seem to be doing well.

I just had a whipple kit installed on my denali and I am very pleased with the results. As for their service I am not sure where people are getting it is bad. I had a few question durring and after the install and they were very quick to respond to my emails. Also the kit I purchased was an innercooled. I picked up 125 rwhp on 6lbs of boost.

Too bad whipple doesnt make an intercooled kit for the earlier model trucks.

I said this many months ago as well, but I experienced no problems with their customer service when I worked with them for my install.
