I popped the stock 5.3 at 8 psi with 43 lb injectors. The pump could not keep up. I was however in the 500 rwhp area. Better safe than sorry.

If i go with a external walbro gsl392 which is a 255lph pump, i think this will be the easiest to install. Is this the right pump for this upgrade or has anyone used a different external pump. Any help would be great

only took me 45 minutes to install the in-tank pump that came with my radix, that's on the hoist and off in 45 min,
no big deal to do.

Do i need to get a new fuel pressure regulator by adding this 2nd pump? Is the walbro 255lph inline fuel pump a good pick for this mod? Or should i install an in tank fuel pump. Is there any that are a direct fit. Thanks alot guys im lost when it comes to fuel pump like i said. I want to make sure that i get everything for this upgrade.

I too am in the same boat. I got a walbro 255lph made for typhoon's/syclone's but am not sure what all will have to be done to modify it correctly. Or, will an inline be better? I have a whipple w/ 6lbs. and I'm installing a new PCM and 43lb injectors.

I talked to allen at nelson and he the man that sold me the injectors. He said put them on and put a gauge on it and see what your fuel pressure is. If it is at or above 55psi at WOT you will be fine.

ramwalk, What else did you have done to that truck at the time when you were getting 442rwhp? I just Dynoed mine this weekend and only got 371rwhp.

Oh by the way I have a 2003 6.0L with the Whipple and Diablosports tune.
