Default whipple and boost probelms

my buddy has a whipple on his 03 single cab and it is a used whipple.... its a 4.8 bone stock except air intake. i dont know what the whipple comes stock as far as boost whise but it is only making 2lb's..... timing is 18* at WOT and injector's are at about 97% at 6300, anyone have any suggestions why ?

his boost gage is wrong?

If his injectors are at 97% and not flooded....well that's what I'd look at first.

What is his afr? Has it even been tuned? Did he plumb the bypass solenoid right? My guess would be tune and solenoid wiring. I helped a friend install one on his truck and it only made a couple of pounds of boost till we wired the solenoid to a 12v source with a toggle switch

drop the whipple electronics, add 42 pound injectors, a boost a pump and 12 volts to the bypass. Mine is like Old Bull talked, I call it a valet switch. No juice, 2-3 pounds. Juice, 7 punds.

Make sure it is not going lean before you change the bypass to a toggle.A 97% duty cycle @ 2psi is not very safe when you go to 7psi with the same injectors.

well my 42lb injectors were around 95% at 6 K rpm on my 4.8. with 11.5ish AFR. just for some sort of injector-boost reference.

how much boost were you pushing charcold? also, were you using a boost a pump?
at 7 pounds, I was starting to go lean at 5000 rpms. We realized it was due to pressure drop. The boost a pump fixed that.
How much were you putting down? I always wondered how much power the 42s could make.
