whipple and what cam?

From what learned blower cams like a wide lsa which make them idle like stock I wanted lope aswell but I also want my truck to be fast and they dont mix so I bought a proven cam. (GT2-3 Cam not installed yet) Here is a cam worth looking at though it's a Thunder racing 99-TR-Blower cam 214 / 230 . 601 / 575 on a 117 lsa it's a lil bigger then the GT2-3 Cam. I don't think anyone on the site has tried it yet and it's more costly then the GT2-3 cam.

Well breeze, when you putting that came in. If you can get a video of the idle when it done that would be great. I have heard alot about that cam as well. And i want to hear what it sounds like when you get it on your truck.

It's gonna be a good while yet probably next year in the spring but from what I gather it idles just like stock that's what everyone is saying that has it but no one has a sound clip.

Ive got a Vinci 045 Cam "The Trucker" 216/224 . 551/551 LSA 115 its got a nice lope to it . It also depends on how loud or quiet your exhaust is also , on how much off the cam your actually going to hear .
My whipple seems to like it .
When i go anywhere thats one of the first things people notice about my truck is the sound of the cam vs the quiet *** whipple .

I get the exact same reaction. I wish the whipple was louder. I was looking forward to hearing it. I'm running a Comp 220/224 on a 115.

Well ive got a yank TT3000 stall , my truck seemed alot happier when i put the stall in vs the stocker thats for sure . Easier to blow the tires off from a 30mph punch if thats your thing .
Well look at it like this as far as springs and pushrods go , if your going to take the time and instal a cam do it right and back up your valve train also . So yes i would say get yourself a set up 7.4 hardened pushrods and a set of springs also . I went with Comp 7.4's and Comp 918's with TI retainers .
Heres a great cam install howto , i know its for an F-body but it helped me out alot , have a look .
