I run a 4" magnaflow but its a smaller one, probably only around 14" core. It's fairly quiet at idle and cruise but pretty loud at wot. I would like to hear one of these larger magnaflow's in person...

Thanks for all the replies guys, The turbo definitely quiets things down but only when it making decent boost. Down low my rapppps pretty loud until it spools up a little but. Sounds cool but attracts way too much attention from Johnny Law.
I'll be looking at all this stuff later tonight and getting something on order.

At least I took it outta shrink wrap tho.

I wondered whatever happened to u, now I know. Good to see u back at it.

BTW, sound may be diff. w/. turbo, by what % IDK, but AKLow has a 4" on his blown truck, says it's too loud to carry conversation inside cab. But turbos lend a quieter sound it seems, at least what I've been in. I know some Dynatech LT's, Corsa Touring, & an extremely free flowin set of cats...
a tad loud ***** out w/. a Radix, Again, I know you're turbo, just throwin that out there as a comparo, along w/. AKLow's.
This is funny, I know I fell off the map here. No cash is the main issue. Got divorced, no cash, lived with mom n dad for 1.5 years in between, got my own place been here last 1.5 plus years and just got my two car garage addition paid and done earlier this summer. Changed jobs and lost my company car for personal use. still have a company car for travel but I still have to drive to the dam office to get it, lol, not complaining really its just more room in my garages for MY stuff .
So ya, lots has happened since the end of 2008 for me , all good though.

I ran a cheap $199 4" Dmax system from Jegs on my old turbo setup. It did drone a good bit even with the exhaust all the way out the back. But really sounded good.

Thats the one, I ended up using only peices 3,4,5 (maybe a chunk of straight off of #1) on my 99 rclb 2wd. I don't think a resonator would be needed with this muffler, it does a good job at muffling and doesn't seem restrictive at all. I also added a 4" flex joint to isolate the system from my 3"-3.5"-4" downpipe and turbo.

I ran a stock cummings take off (12Valve) which was identical to this and it was nice and no drone with no noticeable restriction.

An idea of the loise level, the fact that you can still hear Billy Joel gves you an idea...I hear mostly wastegate and spool and not much tailpipe at all from the cab.
