If you want more power in the 1k-3k range your going to have to go big cube/supercharger route. Turbos are awesome but most dont start to spool till the 2500+ range depending on turbo size, gearing, converter etc etc.

I'm really considering just a cammed 6.0 to start. I went junk yard hopping yesterday and found out that the yard I ussually go to doesnt know about LS motors at all. When I asked how often he gets any GM 6.0s he said.

"IDK anything about newer chevy motors because it seems they cant make a good one"

So I asked how much one would go for and he said $300. Now theres several tahoes with 5.3s sitting in them but theres no 6.0s right now. They seem to mostly get 80s and 90s junk in but Im gonna go back or call weekly and see If I can catch a freshly dropped off 6.0!!

I think then I should have enough power to safely pull my car down south with me when I move.

So from a DD standpoint the turbo kits really arent the way to go? I want a weekly DD to share duty with the duramaxs, obviously im not worried about towing with it. Lol.

Some think that. As long as your kit is built with pulling in mind, tuning is done with pulling in mind. And the driver doesn't treat the truck like a diesel it's fine.
You will never get a gas engine to be a diesel.

After reading builds like Chodas it makes me really really want a turbo.

If I did get a turbo I could easily have a tune for towing and another for around town street driving right?

Also if I get a low end torque cam that should help alot with towing.

Another thing I really don't want to do yet. Is fuel system upgrades I might do 8.1 injectors but I want a setup that doesnt require anything more for now!

I will never tow with the rcsb. I have 2 duramax trucks for that chore. Lol. Rcsb will just be for hauling myself and tools...

I very rarely ever tow anything more then a bed full of scrap to the recycling plant. So I dont need anything nearly *** good as a diesel to tow I just would like to be able to hold 65mph in 5th while towing a single car trailer.
