Default Will my whipple bolt right up to an 03 Sierra?

As many of you know, my whipple is for sale. I've got a fellow ptnet member interested in buying it for his 03 sierra 4.8L with dbw tb. Can anyone think of any valid reason why it won't just bolt right up? I could see maybe how the wired for the tb may need to be extended, but otherwise it should fit no problem right? Whipple refuses to give me an answer since they no longer make the 2 pulley setup that I have and they never tested it on anything after 02.

I am hoping to get a solid answer either way ASAP, thanks in advance.

I dont think it will work. The inlet elbow for the throttle body is different for the DBW.

You will have to have a elbow made up so that the throttle body mounts facing forward if not it will hit on the firewall.

Just a little FYI, you can by the elbow from Kenne Bell. Now whether or not it will fit the whipple I am not exactly sure however they are very close designs.

someone just put one on a 03. had to modify the firewall though to make it fit. I'm calling whipple tomorrow to see about the elbow. if you look on their website, the tb is facing forward in all the pics. i can't tell if it's an elbow or a different blower all together

The blower is the same, the elbow is the only difference.

I think I'll need to help the guy who wants to buy it get one of those elbows and a new intake tube. Whipple will probably want like $500 for it, lol. I didn't see anything on the kennebell site. got more info?

I was able to buy the elbow from Whipple but some of the wiring was a little different and Whipple gave me a couple of thing to try it ended up working ok had a little hesitation though and the parts were a little pricey etc...

the only wires should be for the electric throttle body. there's no need to have any other wires at all. the elbow is $199 and the new intake tube (j tube) is $95. OR you could just reshape the firewall and leave it where it is. That's what Bigtex just did.

Kenne Bell had the elbow for under 100 bux. Stock drive by wire system will reach without extending the wires.
