Im going to say no. It seems that 10 psi is the limit before bad things start happening. A perfect tune is also essential.

My main concern would be the 60/65 trans.

I know a truck running 10-15psi with that same turbo, stock 5.3. It's a 05 regency. His IAT's are through the roof with meth. I dont know what trans he has 4l60 or the 4l65 but he is worried about the trans. I would not recommend going that high because of the trans. But I think the motor should hold 10psi with a good tune. Motor yes, trans no.

I'd also change your valve springs.

the motor will take anything that little turbo can throw at it if the tune is right. you might need some valve springs, not sure when that kicks in but 12psi has to be geting close to needing them.

It was recommended to me that I change out my springs (had >60K miles on them) before I turned it up to 10 psi. I got a deal from a guy in Texas that does Rear Turbos on some Patriot Dual Gold springs. With the 43#s, you are probably going to need the meth for fueling. Otherwise I would imagine Inj DC is going to be close to maxed out. Plus it will help with IATs.

Note that my 60E lasted one week at 10psi then

I have been running 7.5lbs on my 5.3 for the past 1.5 years and now it smokes blue smoke (burning oil) and i only have 40,000miles on it (i don't drive my truck hard at all either)... so, new 6.7L motor being built...
I would honestly only run a max of 7-8lbs on it if it is your daily driver and start saving to buil yourself a real motor for the turbo to play with. :-)

aries.... you may want to look at the seals in your turbo.... it is very possible that is where the oil is coming from. the 5.3 is pretty "lets not say" bulletproof, but damn close. I have done many many turbo motors, and 90 % if not more of the oil smoke out the exhaust was a turbo seal. alot of times, people dont put a restrictor in their oil feed line to the turbo, and you can push oil past the seals.

not to bad to replace either... kinda scary if its your first time taking one apart, but theres really not much to them. hope this helps......

not to say the extra ci wont be nice, but im almost sure your engine is fine.
