Well, my **** continues. I tell you what, ever since I met 1slow01z71 there has been nothing but problems roll out of my shop. I think he put some Texas curse on my shop or something. I've been building engines for 15+ years and have never had the rash of bad luck as i've had here lately. Damn you Cody!

Well, my **** comes home on a rollback.....again. I was coming down the interstate from work and messing with a guy I work with in his 93 vette that has some mods and did a couple 3rd-4th gear pulls to 120 or so at the most and after the 2nd one he waves me down to pull over and my puke take is overflowing but engine temp is only 205. I drove another 2 miles and temp started to climb fast so I stopped. I guess my feared oring issue on the block and head gasket is at it's worst. I thought from the start that my symptoms showed I had compression bleeding into the coolant but it seemed to subside quickly and now I know. I have my suspicions on the install of the wire orings might have been sub-par from my pre-assembly checks but went with it. I don't know. I guess i'll know when I get the engine out and apart. The Silver Bullet will be taking me to bed today.
Oh, I outran him at least but not by much. It was only 6psi, 10.5 afr and felt even more sluggish than normal for the obvious reasons. You know you are having issues if it is 25* out and you are having overheating issues.

Block is o-ringed, heads have no receiver grooves and I have SCE solid copper gaskets. It is the same combo i've run on a SBC with success as have many thousands of others. The water leaking issues is normal but I tried a new method this time and it didn't work. The compression to the water jackets I feel may be where the wire was mashed in a couple of places but I won't know till I tear it apart and won't assume and accuse before I KNOW for sure. The markings on the gasket will tell everything.
