Default Is it worth turbo on a high miles 5.3

So here is the deal I have a 04 silverado with 135k miles was thinking of going turbo.. Planing on rebuilding tHe motor to lower compression. My question is, is it worth it or doing a 6.0 swap instead.. Thanks in advance.

That's a perfect amount of miles for a stock turbo engine. Only thing I would worry about would be the lifters if you go too agressive on the cam. If you plan on making big power with it stud the heads and go with ls9 gaskets. You could swap out the lifters at same time.

A good option would be the Isky 212/212, 112. It can be ground in a .530'' lift or .561'' lift. It works well in the 5.3's and 6.0's with 70~76mm turbo, has good power out of boost, and a light lope. Works with both Isky, or pac springs. The low lift will run ok with ls6 springs but with higher boost you are going to need more spring.
