Wrapping the log and DP?

While I was doing some turbo reading I found some interesting info. In short it said wrapping the manifold and what not is good but not the DP. Reason being is, if the DP is cooler than the manifold feeding the turbo i.e. it’s aired out by not being wrapped, the heat will expand to the cooler DP (or some ****) and make the turbo spool faster.
Ok so I can't word it like they did when its 1 in the morning. But in short, short it makes the turbo spool faster by helping the heat transfer help spool the turbo. Has to do with the expanding gases crap.
