Ill check it out. Foose's truck will be setup to pull up in that 7k rpm range and has the aid of the trans brake and 2 step so im sure its going to work real well in his truck, but maybe he will give some feed back on how it will do in street form.

Yup, I pulled a 1.622 short time with a 216/220 cam leaving off the foot brake with a 30" slick, 3.42 gear and a 3000 stall leaving at 2800 rpm. There's definitely something to the smaller, more aggressive cams.

Just a junk combo here but 1.37 ~1.40 60' 6.03/117mph 1/8. Cast S480 with the triple 12 in 6.0L PY3400 off the foot brake @3600RPM no 2 step or aid from nitrous.

Yeah thats just it, makes ppower were you need it. So what if its 20hp behind at 6400 rpn just add a lb of boost and you got 5 more hp and 50 more at 3500rpm. Just me thinking..

Yea the power under the curve matters more in a truck. In lighter car that traps 170 mph with a glide it needs more cam but still think people over cam them too. The more na tq you have the tighter you can have the converter and that will help you as well.

Thats not bad for a 4.8L with no brake! Prob only going to get mid low 1.5's anyway with a 2wd unless you are on a really good track. A trans brake is another advantage because it lets you run a tighter converter that would not work well on foot brake. I need to tighten my py 3400 up to a 3000 now that im not living in Colorado anymore. Think there it a tenth there.
