I know! If I had waited like a month I could have saved $200 on a cam

The sad thing for me is I just spent 6 grand on a trans and torque convertor. I still need other parts to make it all work. My wife would kill me if I bought a cam. I sure want one though.

The LS9 camshaft is 211/230 @.050 valve lift and .558/.552 lift with 1.7 rockers and a 122.5 centerline.

(from the Lingenfelter page site:

The LS9 camshaft is a 3 bolt design and will use the Lingenfelter 3 bolt cam conversion kit if you are installing it in a single bolt application like the 2007 – 2010 LS2 or LS3.

The 2007 LS2 & 2010 LS3 engines Chevrolet has a single bolt camshaft sprocket design and uses a spring-loaded chain tensioner. To install the earlier style camshaft with the three-bolt sprocket you need this kit. Kit includes three-bolt sprocket, chain damper & camshaft bolts. The damper is installed with the original bolts from the chain tensioner.

If you are installing it in an earlier LS1 or LS6 engine with the cam sensor at the back of the engine you will need a 2005 LS2 front cover, 2005 1x cam sprocket, camshaft extension harness, 2005 LS2 chain dampner.

So would this cam work with my 07 l59 5.3l? Or would i need to change the front cover, 1x cam sprocket, ext harness, and ls2 chain dampner? Car will have 317 heads and will get a tc76 turbo over the winter, would this cam work well in my setup?

i have a buddy with this cam in a nnbs with full bolt ons putting down over 350 rwhp on a mustang dyno.i think this a great bang for buck cam.there was less than 5hp difference between the ls9 vs the 220 cam on the same set up

This is a great idea. I have a ZR1 camshaft sitting around after I modified my 2009 ZR1. I was wondering what to do with it. I'll have to get some CNC'd LS3 heads to put on my L9H in my 2010 sierra denali. I have a TVS1900 and headers coming now.
