Default 4.6 Coolant Temperature Sending Unit

I have a 2003 F150 with a 4.6 and a Eaton M90 Supercharger. Where is the coolant temperature sending unit located? Also, is this the sensor that sends information to your dash temperature gauge?

Thanks,

Bixbystx

I finally found my CHT cylinder coolant temperature sensor on my 2003 F150. I went by a mechanic today and he showed me exactly where it is. It is up the valley thru the intake and it is so far back there that I'm told the intake must be taken off to get to this sensor. Does this seem correct? I'm going to end up spending $400 to get a $10 sensor fixed on my truck. You talking about a bummer. Please advise.

Thanks,
